Questions

Questions, answered.

Can you ship dangerous goods by air from Schiphol?

Yes. Express Cargo is IATA registered and IATA DGR certified: dangerous goods are declared, packed and labelled to the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations by certified staff, and every document is checked before the cargo moves.

Do you ship lithium batteries?

Yes: lithium-ion (UN3480, UN3481) and lithium metal (UN3090, UN3091), packed on their own, with equipment or inside it, under the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.

What does UN3373 mean?

UN3373 is the UN number for “Biological substance, Category B”, such as diagnostic and clinical specimens. We ship UN3373 samples worldwide, on dry ice (UN1845) when they must stay frozen.

Which Incoterm suits air freight?

FCA is the usual choice: the seller clears export and hands the goods to the buyer’s carrier, and the buyer books the flight. FOB, CFR and CIF are meant for sea and inland waterway only.
